🌿 Discover the Mirador Hoyo de Don Pedro With Random Fun Adventures 🥾

Embark on an unforgettable adventure through one of Andalucía’s most beautiful natural landscapes! This 12 km hike takes you deep into the Parque Natural de Los Alcornocales, leading to the breathtaking Mirador Hoyo de Don Pedro. A perfect blend of wild scenery, an optional waterfall pitstop and panoramic views!

🌿 What to Expect

Lush Mediterranean nature: Wander along scenic tracks and trails lined with majestic alcornoques (cork oaks), dense groves and fern-rich narrow valleys and ravines, which make this forest unique. Expect a mix of forest paths, natural trails and gentle climbs. Ideal for hikers seeking an immersive outdoor experience with a bit of challenge.

📍 The Highlight: Mirador Hoyo de Don Pedro

A spectacular lookout perched above the forest, offering 360° views over the Bahía de Algeciras, the Rock of Gibraltar and on clear days even the coast of Morocco. The Mirador Hoyo de Don Pedro sits at roughly around 360m (about 1,180 ft) above sea level. It’s a perfect spot to pause, soak in the scenery, enjoy a picnic, take photos, and appreciate the vast natural beauty that defines the Campo de Gibraltar. Before starting our descent back down to the start point.

𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞: 4 HOURS

𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲: Moderate challenge: The trail is rated moderate difficulty! You’ll gain some elevation and traverse diverse terrain, so good footwear, a water supply and a bit of stamina will go a long way. I would say this hike is Medium Difficulty, simply because of the incline and distance. Please double check the hike statistics above, before signing up.

If the weather is warm, we can also add a short pit stop at the Garganta Waterfall. Even if it’s a little chilly on the day, it’s still a beautiful opportunity to snap a few photos of this majestic hidden gem!
